Flying without wings by Rishabh Puri – Book Review

I’m always open to reading light romantic novels, especially when I’m unwell. Last weekend, I was dealing with a bad cold and cough and that’s when I started reading this book. This is the second book by Rishabh Puri and is a great read!

Blurb –

For Milli Bajwa, life is at a stand-still. Grounded in the Chandigarh airport where she works day after day, she watches flights leaving for destinations she knows she’ll never visit. Loveless and luckless, she would rather bury her nose in a book than face her grim reality. And then, on a whim, she swipes right on a new dating app, and finds the man of her dreams – someone who can sweep her off her feet and teach her how to fly. But the mysterious and charming Karan Singhania has secrets of his own, and a heart damaged in more ways than one. This is the story of two people about to find out how far they’re willing to go for the promise of true love.

My Review –

This is a story of Karan and Milli, who in spite of a very different life and situation and are looking for one common thing and that is ‘Love’.

Milli’s life is a daily struggle, trying to manage her mother who is an addict and dealing with the sudden loss of her brother. She loves to read and keeps thinking of the guy who will sway her off her feet.

Karan is a rich and a good looking guy but has a lot of physical pain and suffering. Girls come and go but he still had not gotten the true love of his life.

Milli and Karan meet through a dating app and fall in love.

The story is simple and does not have unnecessary twists and turns. The pace is good and at no point I felt I was losing interest in the book. Author did a great job in making sure that he was able to connect with the readers.

The characters are beautifully described. They really bring positivity in the reader. All the characters are inspiring and the author did a great job in describing the emotions.

I totally loved the book and will recommend it to all the people who are looking for a good, simple and a quick read.
