Let’s take a moment to appreciate the gorgeousness of this palette. This by far is the most gorgeous makeup item that I own, so much so, that I have not yet thrown the pack that it came in. I use it and keep it back in the box so that it stays the way it is!
To start with, the packaging is beautiful. It comes in a metallic packaging which makes it look like a complete red carpet product.
They’re not full-on highlighters and also not exactly setting powders (by Hourglass’ definition, they are finishing powders). They bring life back to your skin. It gives your skin the glow from within, makes you look radiant but not shinny. Every time I wear this, I get compliments on my skin, as if you just got a nice facial done.
This palette contains three shades of the brand’s Ambient Lighting Powders. The three shades include Dim Light and Radiant Light, both which are part of the permanent range, and a new (and limited edition) shade called Incandescent Light.
Dim Light is described as a “neutral peach beige powder.” It’s a pale, light beige with neutral to warm undertones and a very subtle satin shimmer/sheen. It slightly blurs imperfections and can easily be used as a setting powder, especially on the high points of your face.
Incandescent Light is described as a “pearlescent powder.” It’s a pale, light beige with neutral undertones and a soft ivory shimmer. It’s the world’s best highlight shade!
Radiant Light is described as a “golden beige powder.” It adds a warmth and radiance to the face.
These palettes are expensive, but they sure have proven themselves useful. I think they really do make my pores and fine lines appear a little softer and less obvious, while creating an overall radiant effect.
