MAC revealed their MAC Make-up Art Cosmetics Collection for spring/summer 2017. The collection features pieces from three major makeup artists: Diane Kendal, James Kaliadros and Kabuki. Each collection is unique and has amazing products and shade ranges.
I totally loved the Diane Kendal range. Her collection is quick hassle free and really easy to work with. Maybe because she wants makeup to be fast and easy.
Diane Kendal is a British makeup artist based out of New York, and before going to work for MAC, she helped develop products for Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein Cosmetics. She has been in the business since the 80’s so obviously someone with immense experience in her field.
There are a lot of creams in this collection. As I’m getting older, I feel that creams are easy to blend and don’t look as heavy.
MAC Diane Kendal collection has this beautiful Kajal Crayon which I loved the most in the collection.
MAC Says –
Bold, full, saturated eye colour in one swipe that can be applied in the waterline. Colour intensity is bright, with wear that lasts throughout the day without running or smudging. The extremely soft and creamy liner provides excellent and even payoff in four bold shades. Custom packaging in matte black with Diane s signature in gold.
My Review –
I’m not someone who would pick up each and every product in the collection, I generally pickup things that I feel are really unique and useful.
MAC Diane Kendal Kajal Crayon in Flourish Me Beautiful is a beautiful deep eggplant/plum color with warm undertones. It is really flattering on all skin tones.
It is matte finish and the pigmentation is great. It applies semi-opaque in one stroke and iseasily build-able. The consistency is smooth and creamy. It’s really easy to apply and doesn’t feel draggy or patchy. It glides really easily.
If you are someone like me who generally smudge the eyeliner, then you will have to work really fast. It feels as it has not dried but it dries really quickly, so its better if you work one eye at a time. It smudges really beautifully.
The staying power is beautiful. It lasted for 7-8 hrs. on my waterline and a good 10-11 hrs. on my lash line.
I think if you really want to pickup one product from this collection, I would totally recommend this Kajal. You can use it as an eyeliner and also an eyeshadow.
It is a limited edition product, so you will have to rush!!!
Love this product and I know I will get a good use of this product especially during summers!
