MAC recently launched the ‘MAC Versicolour Stain Collection’ for spring – summer. The collection has 16 shades that are very summer appropriate with colors ranging from nudes to reds and pinks to purples and I’m sure everyone will find a shade for them.
MAC says – M∙A∙C Versicolour, the ultimate fusion of gloss + stain, all in one fluid formula that melts onto lips for a full-on glassy shine that lasts and lasts and lasts. Infused with emollient oils, its creamy, lightweight texture stays bright, lustrous and so comfortable without ever cracking or peeling. Like an energy shot for your lips, a range of resilient hues live long into the day (and night). Welcome to your new obsession.
Price – Rs. 1800
The formula is a combination of a gloss and a stain or rather I would call it more Hybrid. It has a jelly like texture. It’s really long wear where the actual color doesn’t fade off at all.
One great thing is that like other stains it doesn’t feel dry on the lips. Maybe it’s because the formula is a gloss stain hybrid.
The color ‘It’s Never Ending’ is described as a deep raspberry. Initially it appears more medium rose pink but with the second application it develops darker raspberry pink with warm undertones. It had semi-opaque pigmentation.
It applies evenly without emphasizing lip lines. The shade wore well for a good eight hours, however it did feel a little drying after 4 hrs.
The packaging it great. With most of my glosses, I feel that it starts to get messy after some time, but with the MAC Versicolour Stains I know that this won’t happen. The applicator is a pointy doe foot that doesn’t pick up too much product and it’s easy to apply, especially for the cupids bow.
Overall, I love this stain, especially on a hassle free no makeup days or for everyday use. I have been using it for almost every day since a week. I would rate it a 4.5/5.
