My current haircare routine

A lot of my friends have been complementing my hair for the past few weeks.

About my hair –

My hair has a brain of its own. It’s really frizzy and dry, but my scalp is oily and so taking care of the hair gets really difficult. Whatever products I used, by mid-day my hair would get really frizzy.

For the past few weeks, I have been following a few tips a tricks that seem to have done amazing for my hair.

Shampoo and conditioner

I have been using L’Oréal Total Repair 5 shampoo and conditioner. It’s mild and really moisturizing for the hair. You have to make sure you understand your hair and choose shampoo accordingly. Earlier I use to use shampoo for oily hair as my scalp use to get really oily. That would further strip the oil off my hair strands making it really dry and frizzy.

Serum –

I always use a hair serum/leave in conditioner/some kind of light oil to me hair to make it less dry and frizzy. I have been using Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Penetrating Oil on my damp hair post the shower. It control the frizz and moisturizes hair.

Oiling –

I have been following the advice my mom would always give, “Oil your hair at least once a week”.

I have been religiously oiling my hair once a week with Parachute Therapie  Hair Vitaliser. It has a lot of age old Ayurveda medicine which helps hair growth and reduces hair fall.

Tips –

There are a few other tips and tricks I have been following.

  • Watch hair in lukewarm water. Make sure the last rinse is with cold water so that the hair follicle close and the moisture locks in the strand
  • Make sure you keep the conditioner for atleast 5 mins. Divide the hair into 2 sections and only apply conditioner from mid length to the ends.
  • Avoid as much heat as possible. I us my hair dryer to quickly dry my hair and I don’t get it too close to my hair. A lot of heat damagers the hair strands.
  • Avoid washing your hair everyday unless its very greasy

I’m sure these tips will help you as well.
