Staying with a theme of my favorite products of this year, today I will talk about the ‘The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet’. It’s actually a miracle in a jar. It came to my rescue at the start of the year when I had really bad acne and I was breaking out really bad. I have a combination skin with an oily T-zone but I never had any acne issues even was I was a teenager or in my twenties. Initially I thought that it could be heat but then the situation just kept getting worse with every passing day. I had gone to The Body Shop looking for a serum and spotted this beautiful jar and got this little thing came home with me.
The Body Shop says:
An instant cooling sensation for all day hydration. This silky-soft moisturizer hydrates and refreshes skin with an ultra-light light formula.
- Feels like a burst of freshness on skin.
- Quenches skin’s thirst.
- Enriched with wheat germ oil.
Price – INR 1199 for 50 ml.
The consistency of the sorbet is very smooth, feels as if you are applying a layer of fine silk on your face. It gives such a nice cooling and tingling sensation on the skin and get absorbed really easily. It leaves your skin feeling really hydrated without feeling oily.
The packing is really good. The sorbet comes in a small jar made of frosted glass which gives a really luxurious feel to the product.
The sorbet contains Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Wheat Germ Oil, and Soybean Oil to hydrate, and Menthol to cool the skin.
It’s a great moisturizer for the summer and rainy months. I must say that I could see results within a few weeks of application. I used this only during the mornings. It claims of 24hr moisturization, but doesn’t give more than 10 hrs.
The only ingredient that I was not sure about was Dimethicone. Dimethicone is what makes it velvet smooth during application. It has high silicon content which can cause issues to people with sensitive skin and also at times could clog pores. But I had no issues at all. My skin got better with every application.
I will give this product a 4/5. I think I might go back to this as we go back to summer.
