The Wiccan Waltz is the first book of ‘The Wicca Chronicles’ series. I was not sure what to expect from this book. For me witchcraft or “Wiccan” -‘the religious cult of modern witchcraft’ was limited to Harry Potter only. I was not sure if this one will be as interesting and I was pleasantly surprised by how this book totally gripped my attention.
Anika is a young, impulsive girl who hopes to solve the mysteries of life by following Wicca. On this path, she encounters the joy of first love, the fear of uncertainty and the power of complete surrender. This is not as simple as it seems, hidden in the shadows are conspiracies, secrets and betrayals. Will Anika be able to survive in this mysterious world?
My review –
The story is about Anika is fascinated by witchcraft and wants to learn it. She gets scary dreams and she goes out to understand the meaning of these dreams. She meets a boy called Ryan and then her teacher called Aparajita.
Ankita goes to slowly learning witchcraft and also starts to explore the good and bad associated with it. I will not speak about the story the lot so much. I think you should read it for sure! I was so fascinated by the entire Wiccan thing that I started to read a little more about it!
Overall, the plot is really fascinating and will keep the reader really hooked on to it. However, I did feel that the story does loose continuity at places. The idea is great but I feel if the execution was a little better it could have been a true bestseller. I’m sure Pragya’s next one will not have such flaws and will for sure will make it to the top of the charts!
I actually loved this book in spite of its flaws. I would totally recommend this book to all! I will give it a 3.5/5
